Company description

The Evin Industries Ltd., organization was founded in 1938
focusing on producing specialized cold weather clothing.

The "Telescopic Sleeves" invention was created for the Royal
Canadian Air Force. Specialty outerwear, with the Telescopic
Sleeve invention was developed for the construction of the DEW
LINE and MID CANADA LINES (early warning radar stations across
Canadian Arctic and Alaska). Our company also outfitted the
icebreaker/oil tanker "Manhattan" (for Humble Oil) for both
voyages through the Northwest Passage.

The "Evin Self Sizing Liner" invention (permitting proper fit,
with or without detachable liner) was introduced to the market
in
the late 1970's. It is now patented in approximately 20
countries. Uniform garments with this invention are being worn
by the Australian Federal Police, New Zealand Police Service,
numerous forces throughout Belgium, Holland and Germany, in
addition to its use in Canada and the United States.

Both the Telescopic Sleeves and Self Sizing Liner have been
evaluated by the U.S. military (Army and Navy) in 4 separate
evaluation contracts.

Various documentation and news releases concerning the above are
enclosed for your reference.

HISTORY OF EVIN AIRLINE PARKA, STYLE 509TX

In 1960, shortly after the development of the "Telescopic
Sleeves" invention, the first nylon cold weather parkas with
this
concept were being produced in our Montreal factory.

The value of the "telescopic Sleeves (ball and socket system)
was
immediately recognized by all those in a work environment.

The specific advantages of the Telescopic Sleeves are as follows:

(a) GREATER FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT, and thus greater comfort for
the
wearer. Since the garment doesn't "ride up" when arms are
raised, there is also greater warmth.

(b) LONGER LIFE FOR THE GARMENT, since all stress is eliminated
around the armhole.

© GREATER VERSATILITY OF FIT, from stock garments, since each
size can fit a greater variety of body shapes.

Style 509TX and other Telescopic Sleeves work garments were
produced for the Canadian market from 1960 to 1975. In 1976,
the
garment went into high volume production for customers in
Canada,
the United States and Europe.

USE OF STYLE 509TX PARKA IN THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY
In 1977, style 509TX became the standard cold weather parka for
EASTERN AIRLINES. This garment remained in use non-stop for
Eastern Airlines during the 14 year period ending 1991.

In 1978, style 509TX became the cold weather parka for PAN
AMERICAN WORLD AIRWAYS. It remained in use (at all Pan Am
stations worldwide) during the 13 year period ending 1991.

The 509TX cold weather parka is the specified garment for
CONTINENTAL AIRLINES, who has been purchasing this parka from us
since 1983 (16 years of service).

In Europe, this parka was supplied in 1979 to British Airways
for
their Heathrow Airport facility. British Airways continues to
draw from our Liverpool stock currently.

ANSI/ISEA 107-1999 is an American National Standard for High-
Visibility Safety Apparel. The standard was approved in June
1999 by the American National Standard Institute, Inc. (ANSI).
The standard development was done by committee with The Safety
Equipment Association (ISEA) as the secretariat.

1- Design
This section covers the type (vest, jacket, coverall, etc.) and
Classes (1-3) of high-visibility safety apparel, specific design
and placement requirements, and suggested design options.

2- Requirements for Background and Combined-Performance
Retroreflective Materials
This section specifies the color, performance requirements and
test methods for background material. Combined-performance
reflectro/reflective material means that the material is
retroreflective and fluorescent over the entire surface, and
only initial color and colorfastness are specified in this
section.

3. Photometric and Physical Performance Requirements for
Retroreflective Materials
This section specifies Levels (1 or 2) of initial
retroreflective performance, retroreflective performance after
physical tests, and the appropriate test methods.

ANSI/ISEA Class 3
Class 3 :
Class 3 garments provide the highest level of conspicuity to
workers with the high task loads in a wide range of weather
conditions where traffic exceeds 80 km/hr (50 mph). The
standard recommends these garments for all roadway construction
personnel and vehicle operators, utility workers, survey crews,
emergency responders, railway workers and accident site
investigators.

Our contribution to your safety!

We are pleased to announce that our lifesavers (HIP+) have been
upgraded (at no extra charge to you) so that they now meet
ANSI/ISEA 107, Class 3 standards for visibility. An explanation
of this standard in enclosed for your benefit.

In essence, ANSI/ISEA 107, Class 3 is a standard of visibility
which ANSI/ISEA have established as providing the highest level
of visibility to people working in high risk environments. This
is achieved by combining in a garment a minimum of 1,240 square
inches of high luminosity background material with a minimum of
310 square inches of silver 3M retro reflective material (min.
2" wide). This standard also requires that the retro reflective
material be in a pattern acceptable to the standard.

In addition to meeting the above visibility requirements, the Hi-
Vis Lime side of your new Lifesaver+ is now 100% Polyester
Taslan with Hiptex 3000 Waterproof Breathable backing (tested at
129.2 psi - tests available upon request). The Polyester Lime
fabric is more sun resistant that nylon and thus is more
resistant to fading.

Reversible Jacket: Uniform appearance of dark Nylon Taslan
combined with Waterproof - Breathable performance of Hiptex 3000
and the day/night safety of NASI/ISEA 107-2002 Class 3
compliance.

Advanced technology keeps you warm, dry and safe.
Uniform Waterproof - resistant and breathable for exceptional
warmth and comfort.
Waterproof Construction - Storm fly front and taped seams
provide waterproof integrity.
Side Zippers - Side zippers with elasticized snap tabs provide
access to gear or weapons on your belt.

FEATURES

Dark Tasian Shell : Uniform appearance in a high performance
Water resistant dark Tasian Nylon shell.

Hi-Vis Shell : Fluorescent Lime texturized polyester combined

protection.

Reflective Material : Over 310 sq. inches of 3M Scotchlite™*
reflective material exceeds the highest standard for nighttime
visibility

Waterproof Construction : Hiptex 3000 behind Hi-Vis Lime shell
with sealed seams provides waterproof protection while allowing
perspiration to escape.

Snap closing pockets - both sides with flaps

Side zippers with elasticized snap tabs for access to gear on
your belts.

Easy care : Machine wash in cold water and mild detergent. Hang
up to dry.

Waterproof, breathable Hiptex™ membrane repels water and wind
while allowing perspiration to escape.
