Company description

EnviroCree Ltd. is the most noteworthy Native firm specialized in environmental services in the Province of Quebec. The company has been growing since 2009. Its president and principal owner, Mr. Jim MacLeod, is a member of the Cree Nation of Mistissini, where the head office is located. There is also a regional office in Rouyn-Noranda. Most of the projects take place in Northern Quebec, more specifically in the regions of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Eeyou Istchee (Cree land in the James Bay area).

EnviroCree’s mission is to provide their clients with customized services, create bonds between Native communities and the mining industry, and to provide Cree people with environmental training and learning opportunities so the firm expands through development of a qualified, and above all local, First Nation workforce. EnviroCree aims at becoming the leader of Native environmental firms and is proud to hire local people.

EnviroCree can count on a partnership with Exp Services inc., a consulting firm of 3,000 people providing professional, technical, and strategic advisory services related to the world's built and natural environments. This alliance allows the completion of our team when it is necessary (thus creating a diversified labor).

EnviroCree works in close collaboration with their clients in order to offer professional services that best suit their needs. Our firm strongly desires to develop a Cree environmental expertise, and as new opportunities are created for local people (including youth), EnviroCree can certainly participate in the economic development of Native communities. In turn, this valuable collaboration will allow for local and traditional knowledge to contribute to the success of EnviroCree’s projects.
