Since 1970, Viking has grown to become a dynamic aerospace company, servicing a global customer base with high quality modification, repair, and manufacturing services. In 1983, Viking was awarded the exclusive spares manufacturing distribution contract for de Havilland Beaver and Otter aircraft, and in 2006 Viking acquired the Type Certificates for the entire line of de Havilland heritage aircraft, DHC-1 through DHC-7. In 2007, Viking launched the DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 Program, and to date has exported over 15 new aircraft with current backlog exceeding $400M into 2016. Viking currently operates from 150,000 square feet of manufacturing, assembly, modification and repair facilities located at Victoria International Airport, and a separate 70,000 square foot final aircraft assembly facility at Calgary International Airport. Viking’s workforce exceeds 550 employees between the two operations with anticipated growth in the coming years.
