Major Achievements Cadence Design Systems (Canada) Ltd. announced the establishment of its Ottawa Design Centre, the first Canadian site in its worldwide Design Factory NetworkTM, in May, 1997. The work is the result of a multi-million dollar, long-term agreement between Amati Communications Corporation and Cadence. The Amati deal signals global industry recognition of the world-class telecommunications product design team Cadence is building in Ottawa. The Ottawa Design Centre will design lower cost digital modems by applying its telecom design proficiency to Amati's leading, standard-based ADSL/DMT (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology.
