Company description

 
We are a full-time, professional commercial diving and marine
company. We have been in business since 1981 providing a wide
range of water-related services including underwater video
inspections, flow testing, environmental monitoring, bottom
surveys, dam maintenance, salvage, dredging, shore protection,
marine construction and demolition. We are also involved in
related areas such as oil-spill containment and clean up,
contaminated diving, and confined-space entry. We are
long-standing members of the Ottawa Construction Association,
we have our Quebec Contractor's licence,
are in good standing in Ontario with the Workers Compensation
Board in classification #732 - Heavy Civil Constuction, carry
full hull and liability insurance and operate in compliance with the
Ontario Diving Regulation #629/94 and the Quebec Safety Code section 3.17.
Our customers are typically engineering firms, public utilities,
government agencies and large industrial and construction
companies - many of whom we have worked with repeatedly over the
years. We take pride in the high standards of work we are known
for and are always looking for new and better ways to serve our
customers.
In addition to our commercial diving division we have a large fleet of barges and workboats, available for bare rental or with an operator. All of our marine equipment is Transport Canada registered and fully insured.

Technology profile

ODS Marine was the first diving company in Canada to utilize a
specially designed "KOOL SUIT" which reduces the divers heat
stress while working in high temperature contaminated waters.
First in Canada to "apply" the patented A-P-E
(all polymer encapsulation system) for splash zone corrosion
protection on a Hydro Generating Station.This system has proven to
be very effective at the waterline where wave action and freeze-thaw
cycle are most severe.
