Peter Li & Company was founded in 1993 by Peter Li, who used to work in a downtown law firm with 31 lawyers and a Chinatown law firm with 4 Lawyers. He has incorporated the high standard of professional legal services and the down-to-earth human contacts with the local people. As Richmond has a fast growing Chinese population, it is an excellent opportunity to fully utilize his previous experiences in this context. We have established connections with a Toronto law firm and reputable Hong Kong law firms for mutual referral of clients, as well as for directly retaining each other for legal services in different jurisdictions. Peter Li, B.A., B.S.W., M. Div., LL.B., has been called to the Bar since 1991. In addition to establishing his own law firm, he has also been heavily involved in community services for more than 15 years. The following are some examples: On every Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00a.m., Peter Li answers legal questions at the Fairchild Radio for the public audience. This has been an ongoing free legal service provided by Peter Li to the community at large since 1995. He has a weekly program on series of legal topics at chienchien.net. He has also been invited by various programs in Fairchild TV as a guest speaker on different legal topics. He has been regularly writing legal articles in Sing Tao Newspaper, Ming Pao Newspaper and other publications. He has also been invited by various organizations and the School Board to be the speaker in various legal seminars. For Example, Peter Li has been serving as an honorary speaker in the law classes held by the People's Law School for over ten years. He has been a supervising lawyer for the legal clinics of the Law Students' Legal Advice Program.
