Wood Biomass Fuel Technology Development
Frontier is researching and developing opportunities to utilize wood fuel in the form of small sawed wood cubes as an alternative to wood pellets or chips. This technology alleviates the need for high electric energy and capital investment inputs yet achieves most of the benefits of wood pellets. Key opportunities are in remote northern communities where wood is readily available and where energy projects may be clearing ROW and making large volumes of wood available for salvage.
Strategic alliances:Frontier is interested in researching and sourcing niche
