PSAB 3150 mandates that First Nations must report all of their capital assets in their financial statements. Tangible capital asset reporting requires taking a physical inventory of all of the assets on a reserve. This includes, all buildings, machinery, earth moving equipment, office equipment, band owned housing, community infrastructure (roads, sewer, water, etc), band owned and operated businesses, etc. Once the inventory has been taken the information is compiled into a database that calculates annual amortization and net book values. Our team works in concert with your auditors to ensure the most accurate financial picture of your capital assets and that all parties have the same information.
