Global Thermoelectric is the world leader in ultra-reliable power systems for remote applications such as cathodic protection, automation, SCADA, telecommunications for gas wells, pipelines, offshore platforms or telecom installations. Global offers thermoelectric generator (TEG) prime power solutions from 15W to 5kW, with over 15,000 TEGs in operation. Global has a strong worldwide sales and distribution network spanning almost 50 countries but has a particularly strong presence in North and South America and Central and Eastern Asia. Global has particular expertise in turnkey systems involving TEGs and, more recently, in systems that don't include TEGs. Taking advantage of 25 years of expertise in remote power, Global offers integrated systems that include various types of power sources from reciprocating gensets to photovoltaics and all peripheral and site-specific equipment. Global also has an OEM business line, where its' products are sold to other manufacturers to be incorporated into their products.

With a thermoelectric generator, electric power is created by the direct conversion of heat to electricity. With Global's products, the heat is usually obtained from propane or methane from pipelines at remote locations.
