Established in 2009 by Wendy Brant and Jonathan Higginson Lajoie they bring combined experience in Construction and Administrative skills to Ohkwari which allows you, the customer ease and comfort through out any construction project. Wendy Brant President Wendy Brant is a graduate from both the Legal Assistant and the Office Administration program. She began her career in the legal field working as a legal assistant for a law firm in Markham. Always having an entrepreneurial attitude, Wendy left the legal field to purse her dreams of owning her own business. After owning and operating a successful business for 3 years she sold it to move to the Ottawa area. Ms. Brant is able to bring financial and administrative experience to the company having worked as an Assistant Branch Manager for BMO Bank of Montreal. Wendy’s extensive financial knowledge of business banking, legal administration, administration, and an entrepreneurial skill set to make Ohkwari leading edge customer driven company. Jonathan Higginson Lajoie Vice President Jonathan Higginson Lajoie has been a resident of Ottawa for over 20 years, with over 10 years experience in Construction and Real Estate Management industry. Mr. Higginson Lajoie has been an active member of the BOMI Institute, completing RPA/FMA courses. Mr. Higginson Lajoie began his career at the Diefenbunker Canada’s Cold War Museum, in Facility Management and subsequently worked at well-known institutions such as Sunlife Financial and Bentall Capital LP. In the course of these endeavors, Mr. Higginson Lajoie managed and supervised various construction projects, contract negotiations, office buildings, industrial complexes, and retail plazas across Ottawa and parts of Eastern and South Western Ontario. These experiences bring a wealth of construction, operational and management experience to Ohkwari for all of your construction needs. Chadwick R. Boyd Chief Operating Officer Chad Boyd has practiced law in the City of Ottawa and has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada for more than 7 years. He has extensive experience in corporate-commercial law, construction law, real estate law, landlord-tenant law, financing and contract management. He has had the pleasure of working with many of the leading construction companies, developers and landlords in Eastern Ontario. The scope of Chad’s knowledge in these areas of law and his industry contacts has been Chad’s major contribution to the success of Ohkwari Capital Corporation. He truly understands the industries in which Ohkwari conducts business from the inside out. More importantly, Chad understands and appreciates the needs of the valued clients and customers of Ohkwari and ensures that those needs are satisfied in full. He earned his LL.B., from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and his B.A. at Concordia University in Montreal.
