MCN Cabling employs top of the line cable locating equipment. Using the Radiodetection RD8000 with GPS compatibilities, MCN can provide digital mapping each item located. The RD8000 can be used to locate many types of items that may be found at many sites. Some of which include, but are not limited to: * Fiber Optic Cabling * Copper Wire or Cable * Power/Electrical Lines and Cabling * Metal Pipes Locate information can be passed on for analysis, or stored/reviewed and uploaded to PDA or PC via Bluetooth. All possible with the ServeyCERT (tm) program within the RD8000.

General inspection services are provided to a variety of sites and locations. In person, hands on, drive by visuals or using MCN's Dragonflyer X6 Helicopter; our inspection services ensure sites are secure and running correctly. The unique use of the Dragonflyer X6 Helicopter, MCN is able to inspect hard to get at places like inspecting power lines and plants; without having to shut systems down to do so. The Dragonflyer X6 also gives MCN the opportunity to provide still photos, videos and/or thermal imaging of each site inspected. All Images are stored on a DVD to the client so that they can keep a record of all inspections done on the tower. These DVDs allow every inch of the tower inspection to be evaluated using stills and videos.

MCN uses the most advanced GIS software, to map out the most cost effective route for your communication needs. By using the GIS system MCN insures you will always have a set of maps BEFORE we start installing your lines; so that repairs on problems, that may occur, in your lines, will be hassle free. This ensures that your communication needs will not be delayed any longer than possible. MCN also uses these GIS maps for proper documentation on the job to ensure that, each step of the way everything is level, in order for the equipment and service to operate at the highest of quality possible. When it comes to adding future lines, if needed the GIS maps previously made, also allow the team at MCN to know where the current lines are so that we do not interrupt existing service for your valued customers. The GIS also helps the teams at MCN to calculate the emergency response times in the event of a natural disaster. We use Trimble gear to stay on top of the latest technology and give the best results that can be given. MCN uses some of the top software out there for GIS surveying and tower placements

MCN is available to troubleshoot, maintain and inform on the status of current networks and possible expansions. Everything from new security implementation, to complete redesign. These services are available on a per-call basis, or in the form of a service contract. MCN runs a powerful monitoring system, highly effective in minimizing network down time. Whether due to power outage, device failure, temperature change, or deliberate tampering, MCN will alert you to the breach. Two consecutive missed polls is all it takes to trigger an alarm to your cell-phone, pager or e-mail, keeping you informed of emerging network issues. Network status can be easily reviewed and activity reports can be viewed by simply logging into the MCN monitoring system. Using any place with internet access; the status and activity, in and out, of specific servers, switches and terminals within the network can be quickly assessed, anytime of the day or night.

MCN uses the Draganflyer Stabilized Aerial Video System Helicopter for a better tower inspection. The cost of using the Dragonflyer is approximately a 50 percent savings, and also provides a video of the tower inspection to keep on record. This allows for potential problem areas future inspections need to focus on, and catch any possible corrosion or other issues at a faster rate. Tower inspection includes looking at items like: * Tower height * Manufacturer, model number, and year of build * Tower legs * Tower lacing * Tower description * Guy wires * Antennas * Mounts * Tower mapping * Existing tower lighting system * Existing foundations * Physical state of tower * Personal ladder and safety slide * Obstruction paint or exposed galvanize metal * General comments and conclusions * Suggested repairs and time frame * Estimated cost for repairs All Images are stored on a DVD, and given to the client so that they can keep a record of all inspections done on the tower. With HDD, there is minimal disruption to community traffic and very little impact on existing underground services. HDD technology is used to install piping under roadways, railroads, rivers, obstacles, or established communities. MCN uses equipment that minimizes surface damage and restoration requirements. The maximum that MCN currently carries for pull back is 40,000 lbs with a maximum distance of 305 meters. MCN is environmentally friendly, ensuring any area that we work in will be left in the manner it was before we started. MCN offers various drill sizes, up to 20 inches, with options to go larger if needed. MCN’s Hydro Vac is available for every client; saving the costs of having to get another company to come and do a job that we willingly provide with our services. MCN currently has a pedestrian walk be¬hind trencher that is 36 inches by 6 inches wide allowing for access to hard to get at places with a larger machine. MCN will currently trench up to a max of 6 feet deep and 8 inches wide to satisfy all of your trenching needs.
