Canpotex is the world’s largest exporter of potash, an international marketing and distribution company wholly owned by the Saskatchewan potash producers: Agrium Inc., The Mosaic Company, and Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. As a competitive world supplier, Canpotex markets Saskatchewan potash principally to countries in Asia, Latin America, and Oceania. Operating since 1972, Canpotex has corporate offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Saskatoon, and Vancouver. The Company’s potash sales were in excess of 9 million metric tons in 2008. Its major markets include China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and Australia. The Canpotex Marketing team maintains direct contact with buyers around the world, and brings vast industry experience to the task of meeting customer requirements for potash used in both agricultural and industrial applications.
