Company description
Integran Technologies is a nanomaterials development company
with the mission to commercialize its proprietary advanced metallic materials technologies. Integran’s complementary GBE(TM), Nanovate NS, NV, EM (TM)and Electrosleeve(TM) technologies focus upon the engineering of the internal structure of materials on a near-atomic scale to yield super materials’ which meet the demanding performance requirements of new products. Integran provides its customers materials solutions, and a competitive edge in the marketplace by licensing these technologies and associated trademarks. By working closely with its strategic partners and customers, Integran is committed to facilitating and accelerating the technology transfer and implementation process. Integran’s advanced materials technologies have emerged from over 25 years of collaborative research and development activities conducted with university -, industry - and government research laboratories. Integran continues to maintain strong linkages to these organizations in order to remain at the leading-edge of applied metallurgical research. Integran is located in a 13,000 sq.ft. facility in Toronto, near the Lester B. Pearson International Airport. The facility contains laboratory- and pilot - scale materials processing capability, and state of the art materials characterization equipment (e.g., scanning electron microscope with automated electron backscatter electron diffraction system, optical emission spectrometer, X-ray Diffraction, B-H Looper, Tribometer, etc.). Integran’s team of engineers and scientists provide comprehensive and cost-effective technical support, from initial engineering assessment, through to product qualification and regulatory approval. |

Product / Service / Licensing
| Product Name: |
Nanocrystalline metals/alloys |
Integran develops nanocrystalline metal/alloy coatings or
electroforms with extreme mechanical and/or magnetic properties that can be tailored to clients' specifications for manufacturing. |
| Product Name: |
Nanovate CoP |
Nanovate CoP is a cobalt based coating material that offers an environmentally acceptable alternative to hexavalent hard chrome. The technology has been licensed for hydraulic bars to and is in the process of being qualified for aerospace used. The technology has already successfully passed qualifying testing for engine and landing gear applications. Integran is working with OEMs and the US DoD through its environmental agency (ESTCP) to move the technology to full production. |
| Product Name: |
NANOVATE EM |
Integran has developed nanostructured alloys that can be used for electromagnetic applications. Integran produces a magnetic coating with low coercivity that can be used from vibration systems to ems shielding. Integran is actively working with companies in the sector to develop new applications. |
| Product Name: |
Nanovate EP |
Integran has developed a hybrid material concept that combines a substrate made of an engineering polymer with a layer of a nanostructured metal. The hybrid extent the use of engineering polymers to applications that were not possible before in the sectors of automotive, aerospace and commercial products |
| Product Name: |
Nanovate NS |
Nanovate NS is a hybrid material that combines a layer of nanostructure metal (with high strength and hardness) and a substrate of carbon reinforced fiber composite. The resulting material combines a high resistance to erosion with a very low density and can be considered an alternative to existing materials used in the aerospace industry. As well the same concept can be applied to seek replacement of high density metallic component by hybrid materials which show excellent tribological and erosioin resistant properties. Integrna is working with the DoD to develop applications for aerospace in which weight savings are important. |
| Product Name: |
Nanovate NV |
Nanovate NV is a hybrid material that includes a layer of nanostructured invar on a composite of carbon reinforced polymeric materials. This material can be used in applications in which it is required that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the hybrid be very close to zero. There are application development underway in the aerospace inductry with partners in the sector. |
| Out-License (Offering): |
Grain Boundary Engineered Alloys |
Metals and alloys with enhanced resistance to intergranular degradation processes that include but not limited to intergranular stress corrosion cracking, integranular degradation, creep, creep cracking, etc. |

Strategic alliances:
Integran can offer know how on the production and use of a newtype of metallic materials that are design at the nanoscale.
Integran nanocrystalline metals and alloys possess unique
properties that offer a competitive edge to end users.
Integran has facilities to adapt these new materials to new
uses and works together with end users in the adaptation
process. Integran carries out this by seeking technological
and commercial alliances with end users.
