Renseignements sectoriels
Demande unique :
The antibodies and test kits that I developed were capable of sensitively detecting all the members of the saxitoxin family up until the time of my departure from Jellett Rapid Testing Ltd in December 2005.Clients clés / principaux clients :
Those who know the name of Dr. Joanne F. Jellett will know that it is synonymous with innovation, quality and dependability. Dr. Jellett has colleagues in Canada and in countries all over the world who can attest to her expertise - please enquire for a list of scientific and industry references that can describe how they have used the services of Dr. Jellett. Others may try to make claim to Dr. Jellett's expertise - but cannot achieve the same level of quality - there is only one Dr. Joanne F. Jellett.Réussite :
I am the original developer of the rapid diagnostic tests for PSP, ASP and DSP that are now sold by my company Jellett Rapid Testing Ltd. I achieved what many others had attempted over a 12 year period that began in 1988 at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and continued between 1993-2001 in my company Jellett Biotek Ltd, where all three tests were originally developed. I continued this work in my second Company Jellett Rapid Testing Ltd. until my departure in December 2005. I also developed the quality management system for these test kits using a cGMP method, and was solely responsible for the quality of the test kits until my departure from Jellett Rapid Testing. Of course I did not make these extraordinary breakthroughs alone, but worked with an incredible team of biotoxin experts from the National Research Council of Canada, led by Dr. Michael Quilliam, and these developments would not have been possible without this great team. Others may try to claim my expertise, and the achievements of our team, but the world knows who made these developments, and no one has been able to reproduce them or achieve the quality that we attained.Témoignage :
" for those who are not familiar with Joanne’s work, she is the original developer of the “Jellett Rapid Test” kit for PSP and other biotoxins.... [which was] accepted through [the stringent technical and quality process of] the Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference (ISSC).... As a state manager, I would be willing to sign on as a collaborator to any project that Joanne was a part of [and] would find her an invaluable consultant, since she is one of only a handful of researchers who has [products of sufficient quality which] successfully made it through the [US Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Committee validation] process."
