I'm a Canadian and I think that artists should be paid for their works. However I see how the American DMCA has worked at hampering users from doing things that they should be allowed to do. Fair use should be prominent in anything added to Canadian law and not let backwards rules harm the Canadian people. Fair Use must be the cornerstone of any law in order to make it fair for the people otherwise we would have a law that is broken.

Internet usage is also something that should be considered a right. I will fight any government that attempts to bring in any three strikes law. It is abhorrent that governments elsewhere are trying to cut off the usage of people without fact and merely by accusation can a person loose this basic tool that every Canadian should have a right to use. Use the law to punish criminals, there are laws for theft already in place. If anything like this is introduced I will vote strategically to ensure the greatest effect in bringing down the government that introduces such unfair measures.
