Canada's laws, although one of the most fair in the world, are taking a different direction according to me; a completely wrong direction. It is a shame to see initiatives to limit the freedom of expression (for example: the oligopoly exercised by the major internet providers to limit the access of the internet unless we pay an extra) and the right to get information from the vastest source of informational technology since the creation of that technology. Are we gonna take the course of Iran or China and unnecessarily limit the use of a tool that has become essential for the growth of about every aspect of human interaction for the last 20 years? As a democracy that must heart voices of the people that made this regime possible, the State must take the other direction and promote the use of the internet, promote the artistic and technological creation made by bright individuals, and promote an easier and cheaper access to the internet and its content to the individuals.
