Coming from a family of recording artists/writers/performers, I understand the importance of Copyright Laws that ensure proper protection and fair compensation. Much needs to be done to solidify a strong understanding of the need to have fair compensation for artists — Copyright Laws are a step in the right direction. Just as there are laws for business, the long term upsides of Copyright Laws will help deserving artists receive fair compensation for valuable skills that can take years to develop (at a cost to the artist).

Thanks to Mr. Clement and committee for taking interest in an area that has long been important for many members of our family and many of our friends.
