In the US, GPS and GPS controlled construction equipment are prevalent everywhere. When I came back to Canada, I found that nobody, including the Contractors had any idea of what the equipment was or the benefits it would provide.

Help to bring "old world" businesses into the new world are definately required.

All industries need to be encouraged to embrace technologies that reduce time, increase accuracy and gets good value. This may mean training employee's on how to "speak" to the technology but given how easy most of it is to use it should be encouraged.

I suppose I see industry associations play more o role here than government. I mean the government isn't the only player on the field.
