The business information system is the series of websites with business information produced by the 3 levels of government. After 10 years of watching the system expand and through research of other countries similar systems, it is clear that Canada has the most sophisticated and complete system. With this information content, entrepreneurs can write a investor grade business plan using quality information resources which are free or low cost. If we train entrepreneurs to learn how to navigate this system, we will be providing them with the knowledge to make important and calculated decisions for the course of their business development and early stage growth. My company is taking the first initiatives to start training entrepreneurs to research their business idea in the Greater Toronto Area so they can conduct a feasibility study of their idea, do the market research and write a business plan using the B.I.S. and finding more information at the Toronto reference library. The B.I.S. is very important in the development of our economy and it is a example what a transparent government system looks like, and it is a benchmark for the rest of the worlds governments to follow.

The public consultation period ended on July 13 2010, at which time this website was closed to additional comments and submissions. News and updates on progress towards Canada’s first digital economy strategy will be posted in our Newsroom, and in other prominent locations on the site, as they become available.

Between May 10 and July 13, more than 2010 Canadian individuals and organizations registered to share their ideas and submissions. You can read their contributions — and the comments from other users — in the Submissions Area and the Idea Forum.
