How will the digital economy affect the learning system in Canada? How we teach? How we learn?
The digital economy is likely to reshape the educational landscape over the next 15–25 years. Traditional classrooms will not disappear, but digital delivery of instruction and testing/assessment will become dominant in the post–secondary sector.
More importantly, students are going to demand far more open, flexible learning programs — including the ability to "mix and match" courses and content from across provincial, national, and international systems. Individual institutions may not be able to think of themselves as self–contained entities but rather as part of a larger ecosystem of learning.
