There is a great deal of public network infrastructure in digital networks. These networks could be used to provide free or inexpensive wi–fi access to internet and communication. The last mile (connection to rsidences) is cable or phone company controlled.
- Promote free or expensive wi–fi use of public funded networks and internet. Many organizations pay for 24 hour internet but only use capacity during 7 hour window. THe unused capacity ould be made to public with some security and limits.
- THe rental fees on power poles is controlled by telephone or power utilities and pricing pricing inhibits free market and is oligarchy model to exclude competition from public sector.
- Lower or free cost would extend service and reduce cost to Canadian.
