Role of Federal Departments and Agencies in Tourism

More than 15 federal departments and agencies work together to support Canada’s tourism industry and to provide tourism-related programs and services:

• Coming to and entering Canada: Canada Border Services Agency, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, and Transport Canada
• Tax and financial policy: Canada Revenue Agency and the Department of Finance Canada
• Support for business and workers: Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Canada Business, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Industry Canada and Canada's regional development agencies
• Federal ceremonies and attractions: Canadian Heritage and Parks Canada
