The feature article in the February issue highlights recent work on firm growth by the Small Business Branch of Industry Canada. The report confirmed previous findings that hyper and strong-growth firms have a disproportionate impact on job creation. From 1993 to 2003, hyper-growth firms represented only 4.4 percent of all firms, but accounted for 45 percent of total job growth.
