The feature article of the November issue explores a recent study undertaken by Industry Canada to determine whether discouraged borrowers should apply for financing because they have a good chance of being approved or whether their decision not to apply for financing is optimal because they would be denied financing even if they applied for it. Also included in this issue are articles on job creation, which provides a distribution of payroll employment by firm size and industry; self-employment figures by educational attainment; and recent trends in business financing.
