Government of Canada Strengthening Ties between the Academic and Private Sectors

The Government of Canada is investing more than $70 million over a period of seven years to support 92 research teams across the country through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council's Partnership Grants and Partnership Development Grants. The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology, made the announcement at the opening of Congress 2012 of the Humanities and Social Sciences, co-hosted by Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo.
