The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), toured the laboratory of Dr. Naveen Chandrashekar at the University of Waterloo. His research into factors causing knee injuries will help our Canadian athletes succeed. As a result of his research, it will be possible to design training regimes that prevent ACL damage, which requires surgery to repair.
