The International Paris Air Show 2019

The International Paris Air Show (PAS) was the most important trade event for the global aerospace industry in 2019. A total of 2,400 exhibitors from 49 countries were estimated to have attended. The event alternates with the Farnborough International Air Show which is held in even years. PAS took place from June 17 to 23, 2019, at Le Bourget (suburb of Paris), France. The event served as a key opportunity to promote Canadian aerospace capabilities to international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their global supply chains. Canada’s 2019 presence at PAS included approximately 460 Canadians representing 145 Canadian aerospace companies. Representatives from federal departments and agencies, industry associations (national and provincial) and provincial governments were also in attendance in support of the Canadian aerospace sector.

Working collaboratively with the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, Invest in Canada and the Canadian Embassy in France, the Department of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development led the organization of the Canadian presence at the show. The Government of Canada led a series of initiatives, including: a Minister and senior management meeting program; the organization of the Showcase portion of the Canadian Pavilion; the Canada Chalet; a welcome reception; a speaker series; a business-to-business matchmaking program; networking activities; and, support for the Canada reception.
