This project allows the institution to maintain its research intensity in areas of national importance, including health sciences, biomaterials, sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences.
  2. Expands or enhances utility of training space: This project enhances the learning environment and space for the departments of biology, nursing, psychology, anthropology and sociology.
  3. Improves energy efficiency: Renovations to fume hoods in the Environmental Sciences Centre are estimated to reduce energy consumption for one of the largest buildings by at least 30 percent.
