Project Description

This project involves renovating and repairing the curtain wall system, windows and building insulation on Pictou campus.

Primary Areas of Benefit

  1. Upgrades health and safety aspects of facilities: Replacing the curtain wall eliminates existing hazardous materials, including cement asbestos board, and new windows reduce the risk of leaks and mould growth, thereby improving the health and safety of the facilities for staff and students.
  2. Improves energy efficiency: New windows and building insulation reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3.8 tonnes per year.
