Project Description

This project involves constructing a new safety training centre on the Strait Area campus. The centre is equipped with the latest technologies, including synthetic smoke, rolling fire and a highly accurate monitoring system.

Primary Areas of Benefit

1. Expands or enhances utility of training space: The facility enhances training space available for students in the fire training program. It provides students with an opportunity to use the latest technologies, such as synthetic smoke, rolling fire and a highly accurate monitoring system.
2. Improves energy efficiency: The new facility uses greener technologies and cleaner fuels to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
