Project Description
This project involves replacing windows and upgrading the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. Additional work includes renovating the building’s exterior concrete; recladding with vertical metal siding and composite metal panels; and replacing approximately 80 percent of the building’s 9,570 square metre roof. In addition to eliminate water infiltration a water drainage trench was added.

Primary Areas of Benefit
- Upgrades the health and safety aspects of facilities: The new roof, siding and windows as well as the water drainage trench will reduce the risk of leaks and mould growth, thereby improving the health and safety of the facility for staff and students.
- Improves energy efficiency: The improvements to the building envelope and heating, ventilation and air conditioning system result in reduced emissions of greenhouse gases estimated at 58 tonnes of CO2 annually.
