In addition, the college is ideally situated to take a leadership role in energy and the environment training, such as wind turbines, biofuels and solar energy.
  2. Improves energy efficiency: The high performance new construction program was utilized during the construction of this new facility, thus resulting in energy efficient measures to reduce peak electric demands. State of the art energy efficient heating and cooling systems were installed resulting energy savings and an estimated reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 41.3 tonnes of CO2 per year.
