Project Description
This project involves consolidating activities into Moulinette Hall and leasing out Aultsville Hall. The project revitalizes Moulinette Hall and converts the building into a modern learning space, including a new library, science and computer laboratories, trades shops and student meeting spaces. Further work includes bringing up to standards number of systems including closed-circuit television cameras; heat, ventilation, air conditioning system; fire annunciation; building automation system; primary and secondary electrical distribution systems; sprinklers.
Primary Areas of Benefit
- Expands or enhances utility of training space: Renovations and upgrades to Moulinette Hall enhance the learning environment and training facilities for students and staff in health sciences, business, justice studies and applied arts, skilled trades, and applied science and computing. As a result of the renovation, the number of labs increased to fourteen with the ability to accommodate 252 students.
- Upgrades health and safety aspects of facilities: The upgrades to closed-circuit television cameras; heat, ventilation, air conditioning system; fire annunciation; building automation system; primary and secondary electrical distribution systems; sprinklers improve the health and safety aspects of facilities.
