Project Description
This project involves adding 1,576 square feet of space to the Central Park Learning Centre in Nipawin to replace space currently utilized by Cumberland College in LP Miller High School. The addition allows Cumberland College to increase the number and variety of training programs offered in Nipawin, particularly in the areas of mineral, mining, hydro and energy sector training.

- Expands or enhances utility of training space: The project increases classroom space and training programs. It enhances training space for technical skills and trades programs, in-person and distance university courses, and industry credit and non-credit training courses required by adults as prerequisites for other programs. In addition, the expanded facility meets learning and training needs of the Aboriginal population within the community and surrounding area.
- Improves energy efficiency: The facility is constructed with the latest environmental materials/technologies, which improves energy efficiency and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
