Project Description

The project involves renovating and modernizing the 40-year old, outdated science laboratories.

  1. Upgrades the health and safety aspects of facilities: The project allows the laboratories to conform to current safety standard requirements and also includes asbestos removal.
  2. Expands or enhances the utility of training space: Improving the quality of laboratories allows for a better academic experience.
  3. Improves energy efficiency: The object of this project was an overall reduction of energy consumption by 15%. It is estimated that greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 232 tonnes of CO2 per year.
