Signage
Project signage is an important way to promote awareness of infrastructure projects taking place in communities across the province.
The federal and provincial governments have recently developed individual signage strategies to ensure that all programs, services and initiatives are visible, accessible and accountable to Canadians and Ontarians, including projects funded under the RInC Program in Ontario and Ontario REC.
The recipient is responsible for the following:
- The installation of a project sign recognizing the federal contribution. Economic Action Plan signs have been ordered with the title ‘Recreation Area Improvements’ and are currently in production for all federal projects funded under the RInC Program in Ontario. We are requesting that all Economic Action Plan project signs be installed within one week of receipt. For more information, see the federal installation guidelines.
- The production and installation of a project sign recognizing the provincial contribution, which should be installed next to the federal sign. For more information, see the provincial signage guidelines.
- After signage is installed, please submit two photographs in JPEG format (one close-up and one distance shot) of each sign to infrastructure@ic.gc.ca. When sending photos, please indicate ‘RInC Signage’ and the project number in the subject line of the email, as well as the photo filenames. Please also include the installation date.
- The removal of temporary signs within 90 days of project completion.
