July 15, 2010 – Richard Harris, the Member of Parliament for Cariboo-Prince George, today announced that 13 additional projects in the Province of British Columbia have been conditionally approved for funding under the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

July 9, 2010 – The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, today announced that three additional projects in the Province of Ontario have been conditionally approved for funding under the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

July 9, 2010Kevin Sorenson, the Member of Parliament for Crowfoot, today announced that two additional projects in the Province of Alberta have been conditionally approved for funding under the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

July 6, 2010 – The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that 7 additional projects in the Province of Quebec have been conditionally approved for funding under the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

June 16, 2010 – Updated National Broadband Maps have now been posted. These maps show the unserved / underserved households across Canada as of January 1, 2010. As well, a coverage map has now been posted illustrating the footprint of the 52 projects conditionally approved by Broadband Canada on May 9, 2010.

May 9, 2010 – The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, today announced that 52 projects have been conditionally approved for funding under the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

April 1, 2010 - The Broadband Canada program has now completed its assessment of applications.

All applicants will be notified within the coming weeks as to the status of their applications, and this website will be updated to provide information on new developments.

September 1, 2009 – Industry Canada today announced the launch of the Call-for-Applications process for Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians.
