Website update for new legislation
As you know, today, September 18, 2009, the remaining amendments contained in Chapter 36 of the Statutes of Canada, 2007, and Chapter 47 of the Statutes of Canada, 2005 (c.36 and c.47), come into force. As a result, we've made a number of changes and updates to our website to you and your clients.
What's New on the OSB Website
- We've updated information for debtors and creditors to reflect the amendments.
- We've created a new page describing the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) process from the point of view of creditors.
- We've added a new search tool for CCAA Records. Currently, CCAA Records are not included in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Records, which you would normally use for other insolvency estates. At this time, there is no charge to view the CCAA Records.
- The following brochures: Dealing with Debt: A Consumer's Guide, All about Bankruptcy Mediation and the Inspector's Handbook have been updated to reflect the amendments and are posted in the Publications section. To order these brochures, please submit your order in the usual manner.
