We would like to inform you that the proposal to amend Section 5 of the Canada Business Corporations Regulations, 2001 has been pre-published in the Canada Gazette, Part 1 on November 26, 2005.
The proposal would remove references to the possibility of combining the filing of Corporations Canada's annual return form with the filing of the corporate income tax return (T2). The amendments also propose changing the period for filing annual returns back to the original "within 60 days after a corporation's anniversary date".
You can obtain a copy of the draft regulations and the Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement:
- On the Canada Gazette's website;
- On Corporations Canada's website; or
- By contacting Corporations Canada directly at 1 866 333-5556 for a copy by mail.
