Protecting Your Corporate Name
Although your name has been granted by Corporations Canada, you are responsible for any likelihood of confusion that might exist between your name and another trade-mark or business name. You may even be required to change your name if confusion is found to exist.
You may want to consider seeking a trade-mark to further protect your corporate name. Corporate names and trade-marks can be very similar or even identical. For more information on trade-marks see the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) website.
