Notice – Changes to Corporations Canada's Service Fees

On June 17, 2019, changes to Corporations Canada's service fees related to three acts – the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA), the Canada Not-for-profit Act (NFP Act) and the Canada Cooperatives Act (Coop Act) – were approved. The new fees will come into effect on January 15, 2020.

Fees for online services

Many online services for businesses and not-for-profit corporations will be cheaper or free, such as:

  • filing an annual report ($12 instead of $20)
  • ordering copies of corporate documents (free instead of $1 per page)
  • changing the number of directors and the province in articles (free instead of $200 if these are the only change to articles)

The cost for filing an annual return for cooperatives will also decrease from $40 to $12.

The new fees under each act and related service standards are available on the Canada Gazette website:
