The Computers for Schools program (CFS) in Alberta is administered and managed by Alberta CFS. Alberta CFS is a not-for-profit organization incorporated on June 23, 1995 for the purpose of managing and delivering the Computers for Schools Program in the province. Its mission is to distribute high-quality, multimedia computer equipment, providing a value-added product that meets the expressed requirements of schools, libraries and not-for-profit learning organizations in Alberta.
Alberta CFS is governed by a Board of Directors and has three (3) full-time employees and also oversees the work of several volunteers. The organization also provides young people between 18 and 30, with valuable work experience through the Technology Work Experience Program (TWEP).
