Consultation and discussion

The proposed amendments to the Trade-marks Regulations aim at modernizing and simplifying the administration of the trademark opposition regime to increase effectiveness and reduce operational costs for business. For example, the amendments to the Regulations may affect the timing and conduct of cross-examinations, allow for the electronic filing of evidence, and set prescribed deadlines for filing and serving written arguments and requesting hearings.
