Updates to patent, industrial design and copyright general correspondence online services

CIPO is introducing an updated look and feel to the general correspondence for patents, industrial designs and copyright online services.

On June 13, 2017 , these online services will be updated so that they comply with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s Standard on Web Accessibility . In addition, from now on general correspondence for industrial designs will allow you to submit your images in PDF format. This is an interim update and additional look and feel updates are expected in the coming months.

To get instructions on how to use the updated general correspondence online services, CIPO is pleased to offer live demonstrations by webinar.

You are welcome to register to any of the following sessions:

General correspondence—Industrial Designs

General correspondence—Patents

General correspondence—Copyright

Each session is limited to 150 participants. Due to this limitation, we encourage people from the same office location to connect using a single log in. Upon registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to participate and join the event. If there is a continued interest, additional sessions will be offered.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the changes to the online services for patents, industrial designs and copyright, please contact the CIPO Client Service Centre.
