Submissions Received Regarding the Consultation Papers
As a part of the copyright reform process, the Departments of Industry and of Canadian Heritage solicited submissions regarding possible amendments to the Copyright Act with respect to the issues described in the two consultation documents, Consultation Paper on Digital Copyright Issues (html, pdf) and Consultation Paper on the Application of the Copyright Act's Compulsory Retransmission Licence to the Internet (html, pdf ).
The deadlines for submissions and reply comments for both consultation papers have now passed. The response from Canadians was significant, with over 700 documents submitted to the consultation process. All documents, including more than 50 reply comments, have now been posted on-line. The Departments of Canadian Heritage and Industry thank all contributors for their participation in this process.
Submissions and reply comments received, including the name of the person or organization making the submission, have been posted in the official language in which they were submitted. All content of submissions has been posted as received by the departments, however minor reformatting may have occurred during HTML conversion.
