Subject: Copyright Reform
Before any amendmants are made to the copyright act, I strongly urge the goverment to review the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) passed in the United States recently. There are huge flaws in the DMCA that actually prohibit computer programmers from innovating. Many politicians in the United States are now calling for changes to be made to the DMCA. However, I do agree that the copyright laws must be changed with specific laws to the growing digital industry. I just hope that it isn't a rushed job, and that we will learn from the mistakes of the United States.
