Subject: Consultation Paper on Digital Copyright Issues
This email is in response for a request for comments regarding the Consultation Paper on Digital Copyright Issues, dated June 22, 2001 by the Intellectual Property Policy Directorate, Industry Canada, and by the Copyright Policy Branch, Canadian Heritage.
In case you are not aware of this article, I refer you to John Perry Barlow's excellent essay titled "The Economy of Ideas". It is from Wired Magazine, March 1994. It is extremely relevant to the discussion at hand.
