Financial institution users

1. How do I create an account?

  • Go to the Canada Small Business Financing Program (CSBFP) site
  • Click on the "Tool Box for Lenders" link.
  • Click on the "CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Click on the "Launch the CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Click on the "Register" button.
  • Enter your email address and click on the "Continue" button.
  • Fill in all the fields. They are all required to create an account. Then click the "Done" button.
  • You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and you will need to activate your account within 72 hours.
  • Click on the "Click here" link in the email sent by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).
  • You will then need to ask your User Administrator to give you the proper access rights.

2. How do I log in?

  • After your User Administrator gives you access, click on the "Tool Box for Lenders" link.
  • Click on the "CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Click on the "Launch the CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Enter your email address and password chosen when you created your account.
  • Click on "Sign In" button.

3. What do I do if I forgot my password?

  • Click on the "I forgot my password" link under the "Sign In" button.
  • Enter your email address.
  • You will be asked to answer your secret question.
  • A temporary password will be sent to your email address.
  • You will need to log in with the temporary password.
  • You will be asked to choose a new password.

4. Who do I contact if I don't have the proper access rights?

  • Contact your User Administrator.

5. Who do I contact if I have a problem with the application?

  • After you have logged into the application, click the "Contact Us" link in the left navigation bar. You will have telephone and email contact information to reach us.

User administrator

1. How do I create an account?

  • Go to the Canada Small Business Financing Program (CSBFP) site
  • Click on the "Tool Box for Lenders" link.
  • Click on the "CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Click on the "Launch the CSBFP Online Loan Registration Application" link.
  • Click on the "Register" button.
  • Enter your email address and click on the "Continue" button.
  • Fill in all the fields. They are all required to create an account. Then click the "Done" button.
  • You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and you will need to activate your account within 72 hours.
  • Click on the "click here" link in the email sent by ISED.
  • You will then need to ask the ISED representative to give you the User Administrator rights.

2. How do I give access rights?

  • Once you are logged in, click on the "User Administration" link.
  • Click on the "Add New User" button.
    • The user that you wish to add must have registered their account.
  • Enter their email address and click on the "Find" button.
  • The user's full name and address will appear. Please verify that it's the correct user to whom you wish to give the rights.
  • Select a region (if applicable) and at least 1 user right and then click the "Save" button.
  • The user will now have the access that you have provided.

3. What can I do as a User Administrator?

  • You can add a new user.
  • Give access rights or modify, deactivate or reactivate access rights.
