Policy Development and Harmonization
The Electronic Commerce Branch is very active internationally, promoting a common policy framework on issues relevant to the Internet Economy. The bulk of the policy development and harmonization work is conducted in well established international policy forums, such as the OECD, APEC, and the ITU. Policy harmonization work is also conducted in specialized forums, dealing with a particular issue, such as spam and cyber-security.
