  • Industrial Research Assisstance Program (IRAP)
    NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) provides a range of both technical and business oriented advisory services along with potential financial support to growth-oriented Canadian small — and medium-sized enterprises. The program is delivered by an extensive integrated network of 260 professionals in 100 communities across the country.
  • Value to Wood
    A national Natural Resources Canada initiative to support the Canadian value-added wood products sector. The Value to Wood program is based on both research and technology transfer. It is meant to provide technological solutions directly to wood product manufacturers in all regions of Canada.
  • Revenue Canada's Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Credits (SR&ED)
    A federal tax incentive program to encourage Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development (R&D) in Canada that will lead to new, improved, or technologically advanced products or processes. The SR&ED program is the largest single source of federal government support for industrial research and development.

  • European Union — European Forest-Based Sector Technology Platform (FTP)
    This platform aims at defining and implementing the sector's R&D roadmap for the future and is supported by a wide range of stakeholders. The Forest-based sector technology platform is an industry-driven process, embedded in industry reality, and supporting the sector's strategy.
  • Scandinavia — Wood Wisdom Research Programme
    Wood Wisdom is a programme entity strengthening the knowledge base in the forest cluster across national borders and promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology to improve the competitiveness of the whole cluster.
